*If you didn’t get anything out of watching Iyanla Vanzant’s interview with Karrueche Tran, just know that Tran still loves her ex.
Tran made the confession on Saturday (March 28), during “Iyanla Exclusive: Karrueche Tran,” which aired on OWN.
Among the questions Vanzant tossed her way:
“Where was Chris Brown taking you to dinner?”
What soul searching can be taken out of that inquiry, beloveds?
“Did you sleep with him too fast?”
“So are you clear you are famous by association?”
From the looks of it, Vanzant didn’t earn any high marks for her line of questioning as Tran stated that Brown loved her. Still, Vanzant did end up doing what she does best while pointing out to Tran that, as it pertains to Brown:
“You can’t delude yourself into thinking he’s just a regular person.”
The same goes for assuming you can change a person, especially someone as stubborn as Chris Brown seems to be.
Nevertheless, Tran went to bat for her previous relationship, stating, “I wanted to love him because that’s what he needs.”
In addition to taking Brown to church and yoga, Tran reveals she also tried to get him to meditate as well as made an effort to save him from himself. The problem is, as noted by TheUrbanDaily.com, “…you can’t save Chris Brown; he doesn’t want to be saved.”
“…when Tran says, “I want to be able to clear it up and tell my story—my side,” the problem here is she doesn’t even seem to know what her side totally is and whether or not this story is done,” the site noted while acknowledging how apparent it was that “Tran clearly wasn’t completely confident in her response about letting him go completely.”
Still, Tran did offer a bit of hope for viewers by declaring that she will never allow another man to disrespect her the way Brown did.
