*Serge Ibaka didn’t find out he has a daughter until she was 5 years old! She’s now his 7-year-old daughter living in the Congo, according to HipHollywood.
In the new documentary “Son of the Congo,” he opened up about growing up poor in the African country and how he used basketball as his ticket to success.
In the doc, he revealed he has a 7-year-old. He had a girlfriend before he left the Congo. She was pregnant; he didn’t know.
His father helped take care of his granddaughter, Ranie. He kept the news from his son until he told him two years ago. Ibaka was upset at his dad.
Now he’s a proud father who sees his daughter in the summer, but he’s planning on bringing her to the States soon. “Son of the Congo” will air on ESPN on Friday, April 17.
