*Chris Brown settled with a guy from an alleged basketball brawl.  Malcolm Ausbon sued Brown, claiming he and three members of his crew jumped him, according to TMZ.
Ausbon claimed the beating happened during a basketball game at a 24-Hour Fitness in L.A. last year.
A letter was sent to Brown’s lawyer, Mark Geragos, threatening to go to the cops unless Brown paid him $250,000. Geragos called this extortion.
Sources close to Brown said Ausbon wasn’t paid that much. He received a “nuisance payment” to make him go away, but it wasn’t more than 4 figures.
The amount is sealed under the terms of the agreement. It’s alleged Ausbon was paid lower because he lost bargaining power trying to blackmail Brown.
