*Drake went viral today for his reaction of disgust when Madonna kissed him on stage at Coachella. But the rapper says it wasn’t the kiss that caused him to recoil – it was her lipstick.
The Material Girl, 56, made a surprise appearance at the annual music festival in Indio, Calif. on Sunday, April 12, taking the stage during Drake’s performance of his single “Madonna.” She then performed her song “Human Nature,” from her 1994 album “Bedtime Stories.”
Drake was seated in a chair on stage as Madonna danced around him in a black outfit and over-the-knee black leather boots. Just weeks earlier, she told Us Weekly: “The lifelong ambition I still want to fulfill is to go on a dream date with Drake — and only kiss him.”
Well, she can cross that off her list. The kiss lasted so long that the crowd gasped. But when Madonna finally pulled away, he grimaced like a newborn tasting something nasty.
“Oh s–t,” Drake said after wiping his mouth and covering his eyes with his hand. “What the f–k just happened?”
Responding to reports that he was disgusted by Madonna, Drake’s camp told TMZ he “loved the kiss.” As for whether the kiss was prearranged, Drake says it wasn’t … the plan was for Madonna to dance around him while he sat in the chair.
Drake says he was not anticipating the lipstick situation and that’s why he balked.
