*The CW is squeezing yet another spinoff into its DC Comics lineup, with British actor Franz Drameh scoring a plum role.

“Arrow” and “Flash” will be joined by an as-yet-untitled show described by the network as a supehero team-up series. Brandon Routh will appear as Ray Palmer/the Atom; “The Flash’s” Victor Garber will pop up as Dr. Martin Stein; Wentworth Miller suits up as villain Leonard Snart/Captain Cold; and Dominic Purcell is Heat Wave/Mick Rory.

Drameh joins the series as Jay Jackson, a former high school athlete whose pro career was derailed by injury. He’s now living paycheck to paycheck as an auto mechanic, but will come to have a surprising affiliation to the S.T.A.R. Labs crew.

The 22-year-old is best known in the States as the soldier alongside Tom Cruise in last year’s sci-fi thriller “Edge of Tomorrow.” His career started in British television, and his feature film debut was alongside Matt Damon in Clint Eastwood’s 2010 thriller “Hereafter.”

Drameh’s next big screen appearance will be in “A Hundred Streets,” alongside Idris Elba and Gemma Arterton.

There is no shortage of TV programs from the comic book universe, whether it’s The CW pulling from DC Entertainment or ABC combing through Marvel (“Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” and its spinoffs “Agent Carter” and the upcoming vehicle for “S.H.I.E.L.D.’s” Lance Hunter and Barbara “Bobbi” Morse/ Mockingbird).

Writer/producer Marc Guggenheim, who co-developed “Arrow” and its spinoffs with Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg, has penned projects for both DC Comics and Marvel Comics.
