Kanye West Joins Diddy’s Producer Supergroup The Hitmen

*Diddy revealed via Instagram that he is back in the studio with The Hitmen, his production collective responsible for most of Bad Boy Records’ hits through the ’90s and early ’00s.

He also revealed that Kanye West has joined the group, which currently consists of Chucky Thompson, Deric “D-Dot” Angelettie, Steven “Stevie J” Jordan, Mario Winans, and Nashiem Myrick. They’re all supporting Diddy in the studio as he records his next album, “Making Money Mitch”, his first since 2010’s “Last Train To Paris.”

This isn’t the first time Diddy and Ye have joined forces — he actually has a production credit on Kanye’s recent single “All Day,” reports Billboard. In a 2012 interview with Urban Daily, members of the Hitmen spoke about their long relationship with Kanye, describing how they actually brought him into the studio when he was just starting out.

“[Kanye] watched Chucky and Stevie and got to see it for himself,” D-Dot told the site, “and now he’s the new producer for the new generation, but he came from Bad Boy College and got that tutelage!”
