*Kanye West‘s fans created the “Book of Yeezus,” a coffee-table publication, which celebrates his star. But critics said they went too far changing God’s name to his in the Book of Genesis.
“What we came up with was an interventionist art, coffee-table novelty, that will appeal to both Kanye fans everywhere and those made curious by this enormous cultural phenomenon,” said the site’s user.
Three brothers who are entrepreneurs wanted the challenge of creating a present-day bible in order to modernize contemporary civilization, according to Sister 2 Sister.
“What if the Bible, the most singularly significant publication in the ancient canon of Western tradition, were updated to reflect our modern society? What would it look like?” the users said.
West hasn’t responded to the bible, but he formerly called himself God’s vessel.
“God chose me, He made a path for me. I am God’s vessel,” he said in 2009. “But my greatest pain in life is that I will never be able to see myself perform live.”
