Ne-Yo Weighs in on Trap Gospel: ‘God Said Make a Joyful Noise’ (Watch)

*Singer-songwriter Ne-Yo was asked to weigh in on the southern hip hop-influenced style of spirituals known as Trap Gospel.

During Friday night’s Race to Erase MS event in Los Angeles, HipHollywood asked the night’s performer if the thought the budding genre is too disrespectful.

“God said make a joyful noise,” the singer answered. “He didn’t say make a trap noise, make a gospel noise, make a country noise, he said make a noise. So it’s all good.”
