*Nickelodeon has tapped Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson to host its “Kids’ Choice Sports” awards on July 16.

The NFL star takes the reigns from last year’s host, Michael Strahan, who will keep his gig as executive producer for the second annual event at UCLA’s Pauley Pavilion in Los Angeles, which features a mix of Hollywood celebrities, famous athletes and plenty of slime.

Wilson was voted favorite newcomer at the 2014 “Kids’ Choice Sports” awards.

“Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Sports 2015” is produced by Done and Dusted in association with Nickelodeon Productions.
