*Another racially-charged incident involving Sigma Alpha Epsilon has generated suspensions – this time at Clemson University.

The frat’s national leadership says it suspended about two dozen members at the South Carolina school and removed chapter leaders after the group held a Christmas theme party that raised social tensions on campus, reports the Associated Press.

The “Cripmas” party had students dressed like gang members, wearing red and blue bandanas.

The national fraternity released a statement Monday saying the party was inexcusable and inappropriate, and it apologized to the campus.

Pictures were posted on social media, causing backlash as black students said Clemson didn’t do enough to promote racial tolerance. About 6 percent of Clemson’s students are black.

Clemson says the fraternity violated alcohol rules and student conduct codes. It will be on probation until February 2017.

SAE made headlines last month when some members of its University of Oklahoma chapter were seen on video singing a racist chant. The chapter was closed down and two students involved were expelled.
