If you’re the parent of a budding thespian, you might want to listen to what Angela Williams (the mother of of  actor Tyler James Williams ) has to say. If fact she’s written a book called “My Child is Going to be Rich and Famous: How To Successfully Balance Family, Parenting And Entertainment.”
Here, Williams explains her motivation for penning it:
*I wrote this book for parents of children who will be entering the entertainment industry but are not sure what to do when they begin, and for those who have already committed to this journey and don’t know what to do next. Its purpose is to give parents tools and a road map of sorts to help them apply and/or navigate properly along their journey. In essence, I started writing this book the moment my sons and I started our personal journey 18 years ago in New York, but I didn’t actually put fingers to keypad to begin the process until we were living in Los Angeles in 2007.
When we relocated to California in 2005, I felt like we were starting the auditioning, commercial, television, and movie process all over again. There was such a big difference between the show business experiences in New York and L.A. They appeared to be two totally different animals to me, so I had to learn the West Coast version of the entertainment industry.
However, as unfamiliar with the business as I was at the time, I began meeting parents who looked to me for advice and guidance. I am a teacher, encourager, motivator and problem-solver type of person by nature, so watching the parents walking around looking clueless was the spark that lit the burning passion that began to grow for me to help as many of them as I could. That was the moment when I began the process of writing this, my second book. My first book was an autobiography that focused on my mom, who died of breast cancer at 47.
I wrote the book that I wish was available 18 years ago when I started with my sons. Some of the chapters/topics focus on how to deal with such issues as:
* Creating a solid foundation for your child and family before you start
* Unexpected demands from the industry
* Money Matters
* The Price of Fame
* 20 Ways to Avoid A Mess
As I share these stories, I also present personal examples of:
* How Tyler dealt with the demands of his celebrity as a child.
* How Tyrel deals with holding on to his identity while sharpening his craft.
* How Tylen handles his work and school schedule as a tween

Angela Williams is an ordained minister and gospel/R&B singer and songwriter by calling, a personal business manager by experience, a writer, producer and author by profession, and life coach/spiritual parent by purpose. She Angela is also a devoted wife of 27 years and loving mom to three young men – Tyler James Williams (22), Tyrel Jackson Williams (18) and Tylen Jacob Williams (13) – who also happen to be wildly talented performers with extensive histories in the entertainment world. As the executive overseer of her sons’ ever-evolving careers and business endeavors for nearly two decades, and the academic facilitator of their home schooling education, she is uniquely qualified to guide other parents, siblings and family members embarking on a similar journey. Angela is a member of Women in Film Los Angeles, Film Independent and she is an advisory board member of the Looking Ahead Advisory Committee and Mobil Film Classroom. She holds a Bachelors degree in Business Management and a Masters degree in Psychology. Angela and her family are bi-coastal, living in New York and California.
