*B.B. King’s daughters didn’t get to see him during the last two weeks of his life, according to TMZ, and are hoping that their father’s manager will at least allow them input in the musician’s funeral.

Patty King tells TMZ that she and her sister Karen Williams spoke to B.B.’s manager Laverne Toney on Thursday morning, and she had agreed to let them see their dad on Saturday at noon. But Patty says Toney called her at 9:40 p.m. to say her father had died peacefully in his sleep.

Patty and her sister Karen were just in court last week over Toney’s guardianship. They accused her of elder abuse and stealing from King, but the case was thrown out for lack of evidence.

Patty says her father wanted her to come and stay with him, and she’s distraught they were kept apart in his final days. Still, she says she wants to work with Toney to coordinate any plans to memorialize King.

She added that her father “loved so big, loved people and people loved him. He always wanted to be kind to people. He was just such a great dad. He is so loved and so missed already.”
