Well, as they say, that was then. On Saturday, the couple, both 24, said “I do” in a ceremony in Phoenix, Arizona. They’ve been engaged since last August.
Following her arrest, Griner – who plays for the Phoenix Mercury – pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct and will attend domestic violence counseling.
In an Instagram post following the incident, Johnson – a member of the Tulsa Shock – wrote that she and Griner are “actively seeking help in order to do better.”
The WNBA announced that it was investigating the matter, but has not punished either player.
