*There’s nothing like a set visit to TV Land’s “The Soul Man“ starring Cedric The Entertainer, Niecy Nash, Sherri Shepherd and Wesley Jonathan.
After observing a rehearsal, it’s no surprise how flawless the live studio audience tapings are carried out.
The talent have a comedic genius that strikes multigenerational audiences. The brilliant costume design is pulled together by none other than, Michelle Cole who has been with the series all four seasons to date. Check out some of the pieces below (take a look at all the handbags!)
At the studio audience taping the following day, “The Soul Man” welcomed the mentors and students from the Los Angeles based non-profit organization, For The Love of Acting (FTLA).
Founded and executed by two alumni of the University of Southern California, FTLA is geared at educating and exposing inner city youth within the Los Angeles Unified School District to and through the arts to function as a supplemental after-school arts program in response to the budget cuts made by the school district resulting in the removal of arts programs at many schools. The high school students visited the set and witnessed first-hand the making of sit-com TV followed by a meet and greet with Cedric The Entertainer and Wesley Jonathan. To learn more about or to contact FTLA, you may visit their site at www.ftla-arts.org.
Tune in tonight at 10:30/9:30c on TV Land for non-stop laughter for the whole family on “The Soul Man!”
