Slade and his family are deeply humbled by all of your support and well-wishes.
Remember, many of us are a paycheck away from being in need. Thank you in advance!
For Slade: Help a Hero
An injured Atlanta Firefighter needs your help
Tavaris Slade is a Firefighter who’s served the Atlanta community for almost 10 years. His fire engine crashed on Monday, April 13, while en route to an emergency call. Four firefighters were injured, but Tavaris spent several days in ICU with multiple fractures that will leave him out of work and in rehab for almost a year! He is a dedicated father to a 10-year-old son and a soon-to-be husband. A fund has been set up to help defray costs not covered under disability income.
Firefighters put their lives on the line daily to protect and care for our neighborhoods. It is a small sacrifice to donate for those who proudly make the ultimate sacrifice for us every day. Please donate what (and if) you can. Visit: http://www.gofundme.com/sbd89g
Your Donation Will Help:
* Support day-to-day home and financial expenses not covered by disability income
* Cover summer camp and school supply obligations for Slade’s 10-year-old son
* Ensure unexpected living costs are accounted for
Any amount you give is sincerely appreciated! Your prayers are also welcomed. Slade has supported the community for nearly a decade as a firefighter. Let’s support him during his time of need.
