*Jamie Foxx may be a celebrity, but even he admits being single can be hard at times when trying to find love.
Chatting with E! Online on the set for the video to his Chris Brown-assisted single “You Changed Me,” the funnyman weighed in on his relationship status, saying he’s “single and ready to mingle.”
“Love’s hard anywhere though,” he told the site. “It’s really hard out here. But I been out here so long, it’s like you just sift through, sift through,” he told the site.
So with that, the question is what or who inspires Foxx to write songs about such a powerful emotion?
“[Love’s] universal,” he explained. “When you look at what music is about, what you want to say to a person that you’re in love with, you know? And I’ve been lucky and blessed enough to sort of be able to have that, be able to sit down and create.”
Although he doesn’t seem to have a significant-other these days, Foxx looks to find comfort on the piano, which he admits is when he’s really “at home.”
Until then, Foxx will have to make due with finding onscreen love with “Empire” star Grace Gealey, who appears in his new video as his love interest.
Any chance of the pair hooking up in real life is slim as rumors have Gealey dating her “Empire” co-star Trai Byers.
