Judge Finds B.B. King is Not Being Abused; Case Tossed (Pics)

*The dispute over B.B. King’s health care and finances has been tossed out of court by a judge in Las Vegas who says two investigations found no evidence the blues legend is being abused, reports the AP.

Thursday’s ruling keeps King’s longtime business manager, Laverne Toney, in legal control of King’s affairs.

Three of King’s 11 surviving children, including Patty King and Karen Williams, say they suspect Toney is stealing money and neglecting King’s medical care.

But Clark County Family Court Hearing Master Jon Norheim says police and social services investigations in October and April uncovered no reason to take power-of-attorney from Toney.

The judge says he can’t consider daughter Karen Williams’ petition to take over as King’s guardian until every family member gets legal notice.
