*La La Anthony stopped by “The Breakfast Club.”
She opened up about her nude scene on “Power,” how reality TV hurt her acting career and handling rejection.
“I went up for ‘Barbershop 3.’  And I really wanted that one because I felt like it could have been a great movie,” she said. “And I love Malcolm Lee. I got really close. And when I didn’t get that one. You’re disappointed you know. You wish everybody the best, you move on.”
Anthony said she’s not continuing her reality show, and that she’s focusing on producing now. She doesn’t feel comfortable exposing her family anymore.
“I found that the reality show was hurting me in acting. Like ‘Oh, that’s the reality girl,’” she said. “And they don’t take you serious. I had to kinda let that go to dive in and be taken serious. They just have a stigma. I had to let it go. It was good while I did it.”
Although she said reality hurt her acting, she’s making an appearance on season two of “Power” and has a nude scene.
She talked about how her husband Carmelo Anthony feels about it. “He understands it. It’s my job. But he’s not going to watch it,” she said.
