*A man who reportedly worked security for Drake at events in Toronto – and also did background vocals on his “Nothing Was the Same” album – has been sentenced to six months in jail for assaulting a woman during a domestic dispute in Toronto, reports Billboard.

Travis Savoury pleaded guilty to assaulting an unidentified 22-year-old woman, but he was allowed to go free since he spent 10 months in custody following his arrest in June 2014, according to the Toronto Sun.

Additional charges of procuring prostitution and human trafficking were dropped.

The prosecutor said that the alleged victim indicated she did not want to testify in the case. “She said she hasn’t had contact with the accused and wasn’t pressured to not testify,” Crown attorney Katherine Rogozinski reportedly said.

At the time of the incident, the woman, who worked as an escort and was allegedly Savoury’s girlfriend, got into a heated argument with Savoury and he pushed her to the ground, leaving her in shock and crying on the floor. He reportedly apologized and she later called authorities.

Drake has previously showed his support for Savouroy, who also raps under the names Baka and Not Nice, on social media, writing, “Something in the air today … a lot of good things happening at once. But this one means the MOST!!! Been waiting for 11 months!! Baka finally home!!!!!”
