OWN Special ‘Dance Crash’ Follows Celeb Choreographer Brandee Evans (Trailer)

*OWN will air a one-hour special this month titled “Dance Crash,” featuring celebrity choreographer and professional dancer Brandee Evans trying to fix a high school dance team in the ATL.

Cameras will follow Evans as she travels to Atlanta’s Westlake High School to overhaul their dance team in a dramatic battle to regain their hip-hop supremacy at the Georgia High School Dance Championship.

With a case full of first place trophies, the Westlake “Mane Attraction” dance team have gotten used to winning and receiving praise. But in the last few years they have found themselves fighting to stay on top of the podium, slipping to second place in hip-hop for four years running.

“Dance Crash” will follow the team’s journey as Brandee attempts to use her tough-love technique to teach the girls not only how to win a competition, but also tools to win in life.

“Dance Crash” premieres Saturday, May, 30 at 10 p.m. ET/PT immediately following “Deion’s Family Playbook.”

Former English teacher and Memphis native, Evans has worked both in front of and behind the camera for projects and clients including Ledisi, Katy Perry, Kelly Rowland, the LA Sparks and the Miami Heat. In 2010, she created “Hip Hop in Heels,” a series of dance classes for women focused on improving confidence, building strength, finding your “sexy” and having fun.
