Bobbi Kristina Update; Charles Barkley’s $1M Gift to Morehouse College

bobbi-kristina-brown*Bobbi Kristina Brown’s aunt, Leolah Brown, has posted an update on her niece’s condition.

According to US Weekly, Leolah Brown took to Facebook this week to give the status of her family and Bobbi Kristina, writing.

“We are allowing her to just continue healing in God’s Grace and Mercy.”

“Please continue to be patient with us. You have no idea how much my brother Bobby and Bobbi Kriss are grateful and appreciates your kind words and prayers! In fact, we are all grateful to Almighty God for allowing us to still have Krissi with us!” Leolah Brown continued. “So with that said, let us keep our hearts and minds on Bobbi Kristina’s complete healing! While continuing in our patience. We love and appreciate you all! May God bless you all for your continued prayers and taking out your precious time to send such wonderful comments! May The Peace Of God Be With You.”

Leolah Brown’s comments as seen as more positive compared to remarks shared by Bobbi Kristina’s grandmother Cissy Houston, who stated in April that her granddaughter’s “global” brain damage was likely to keep her unresponsive.”

Bobbi Kristina has remained hospitalized after she was found unconscious in a bathtub in January.

Charles Barkley*In other news, NBA Hall-of-Famer Charles Barkley is spreading a bit of goodwill this week as he revealed his intent to donate $1 million to Morehouse College.

Alabama.com reports that Barkley revealed his plans in a surprise announcement he made during a conference call for the American Century Championship’s celebrity golf tournament in Lake Tahoe, Nevada. The donation will coincide with two other $1 million gifts to The Wounded Warrior Project and Barkley’s alma mater, Auburn University.

“I just got a new contract, and my goal is always to give a million dollars a year away to charity,” Barkley said during the call in reference to news of TNT renewing his contract to remain a studio analyst for the network’s “Inside the NBA for another eight to 10 years.
