Chet Haze’s N-Word Use Causes End of Friendship to Black Rapper

chester-hanks-chet-haze*Chet Haze’s use of the N-word has apparently taken its toll on his friendship with a black rapper.

According to TMZ.com, Scrilla King revealed to the site that he recently put an end to his six-year friendship with Haze, in light of his (Haze’s) insatiable desire to use the N-word. During their time as friends, King collaborated and performed with Haze.

King goes on to tell TMZ that Haze’s black friends are “very uncomfortable” when he used the word.

“It’s disrespectful. He thinks it’s a joke,” said King, who feels Haze owes the black community a public apology. “He wakes up thinking he can be black today and know what we go through. He doesn’t. I wake up black every day, he does not.”

For his part, Haze – the son of actor Tom Hanks – justified his use of the N-word in a video he posted Tuesday, saying it’s “an unspoken thing between people who are friends and understand each other.”

Well we know where that’s gotten him. Keep it up Chet. You’re doing great with that.  Not!
