*Chris Brown may have constant drama in his life lately, but the singer is forever grateful for one thing.
In an interview with Ryan Seacrest on Tuesday (June 9), Brown chatted about the “daddy-daughter time” he spends with his daughter Royalty when he’s not entertaining fans. According to the singer, being a father and seeing his daughter bi-weekly is something he fully enjoys.
“I think this was a blessing in disguise with my daughter,” Brown said. “I get a chance to teach her the right path, and also be a father in my daughter’s life. Just to see a smile on her face, just to see the littlest things, it’s emotional for me.”
In addition to Royalty, Brown chatted about his One Hell of a Nite tour, which kicks off in August, a great time for him to go live on stage.
“I got so much new material and new music for the summer time, I think it would be good for people to have fun and put a smile on their face when I’m on the stage,” the vocalist stated.
As the interview progressed, Brown eventually touched on his ex Karrueche Tran and the possibility of them reconciling. To sum it up, Brown said he doesn’t want to rush the process.
“I think it takes time to heal all wounds. I take full responsibility for my actions and things I’ve done in the past. I just feel like it’s a time thing,” he told Seacrest. “I’m not a hateful person, of course I still love her, but mentally right now I just think everything takes time. I just need to focus on being the best father I can be.”
