*On Thursday, Larry Wilmore ended “The Nightly Show” with a valedictorian speech from 18-year-old Evan Young that had been banned by his Colorado high school  – because he planned to use it to come out as gay.
The administrators at Twin Peaks Charter Academy High School in Longmont also refused to recognize Young as the valedictorian, and also called Young’s parents, possibly inadvertently outing the teen before he was ready.
Wilmore gave the kid a chance to deliver his speech at the end of Thursday’s broadcast – after a short comedic bit to start things off.
