*NBC is reportedly looking to make a bold statement by replacing Donald Trump with a person of color as the new host of “Celebrity Apprentice,” reports TMZ.
As previously reported, NBC has severed all ties with the mogul over racist comments he made last week regarding Mexican immigrants.
According to the website, a minority host is being “seriously considered” in the wake of NBC’s decision to sever ties with the 2016 presidential hopeful:
The minority host idea we’re told is an opportunity to make a powerful statement discrediting Trump’s campaign platform on immigration. Toward that end, the most powerful statement would be making a Mexican or Mexican American the host. That’s the most logical scenario, but all we know is that the likely scenario now is a minority at the head of the boardroom.
In January, we asked Trump if NBC or its owner Comcast had ever asked him to tone down his controversial tweets, political views and comments about President Obama…to keep from alienating certain audiences:
Trump has released a statement indicating he plans to sue NBC for also canceling his Miss Universe/USA contracts, and that he stands by his comments on Mexican immigration. He also takes a swipe at former “Nightly News” host Brian Williams, saying the network, “will stand behind lying Brian Williams, but won’t stand behind people that tell it like it is.”

As of today, Donald J. Trump is no longer affiliated with NBC. Mr. Trump stands by his statements on illegal immigration, which are accurate. NBC is weak, and like everybody else is trying to be politically correct— that is why our country is in serious trouble.
Mr. Trump says, “We must have strong borders and not let illegal immigrants enter the United States. As has been stated continuously in the press, people are pouring across our borders unabated. Public reports routinely state great amounts of crime are being committed by illegal immigrants. This must be stopped and it must be stopped now. Long ago I told NBC that I would not being doing The Apprentice because I am running for President in order to Make our Country Great Again.”
Mr. Trump continued, “If NBC is so weak and so foolish to not understand the serious illegal immigration problem in the United States, coupled with the horrendous and unfair trade deals we are making with Mexico, then their contract violating closure of Miss Universe/Miss USA will be determined in court. Furthermore, they will stand behind lying Brian Williams, but won’t stand behind people that tell it like it is, as unpleasant as that may be.”
