*For the second time three weeks, President Barack Obama will speak at the funeral of a dear friend.
He and Vice President Joe Biden will attend the funeral services for the Rev. Clementa Pinckney, according to a White House official. Rev. Pinckney and eight other members of his Emanuel AME Church in Charleston, S.C. were gunned down Wednesday by a white supremacist who had been invited to their Wednesday night Bible study.
Obama will deliver the eulogy, the official confirmed to The Post and Courier.
Further details about the president’s travel to South Carolina will be made available in the coming days.
On June 6, President Obama spoke at the funeral of Vice President Biden’s son, Beau Biden.
