*Tonight (June 26), YouTube sensation and former “American Idol” contestant Todrick Hall appears on the Pivot series “Hit Record on TV With Joseph Gordon-Levitt,” an Emmy-winning variety show that each week addresses a theme, around which thousands of writers, musicians, celebrities, illustrators and animators from all over the world work together to create short films, songs, music videos, animation and more.

The latest episode, “RE: School,” centers on education in its many forms.

The episode opens with a 50s-style musical number – starring, choreographed and directed by Hall – about the drama of high school relationships. Hall and Gordon-Levitt compete for the girl of their dreams in Hall’s “Grease”-inspired segment “What They Say.”
