50 Cent Says ‘I’m Broke’ in Bankruptcy Filing (Owes $28 Million)

50-cent

*A Bankruptcy filing in Federal Court by rapper Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson on Thursday claims he’s broke and in debt to creditors to the tune of over $28 million dollars.

In legal documents obtained by The Wrap, the “Get Rich Or Die Tryin” rapper says Sleek Audio, a Florida-based company that won a $18,428,257 judgment against him is owed the most money. The company had accused Jackson of stealing their design and the rapper has been appealing the ruling, though unsuccessfully.

Lastonia Leviston, who sued Jackson after claiming he put her private sex tape on the Internet and doctored it, was next in line. And the “Power” star and executive producer was ordered to pay $5 million by a Manhattan jury to the Florida woman just last week. This following her claim that she suffers from emotional distress and invasion of privacy.

In Leviston’s  doctored 2009 clip, Jackson’s “Pimpin’ Curly” served as narrator and her then-boyfriend. Donning a wig, his character made crude comments about Leviston and his rap rival, Rick Ross, who Leviston has a daughter with.

Jackson’s other debts include $1,737.33 that he owes to his grandfather, $137,880 he owes to Bentley for the car he leases and more than $1 million in legal bills. In total, he  is in debt for $28,478,920.75.

And in an apparent attempt to prove he has indeed downsized to a Smart Car in the wake of his financial troubles, “Fiddy” posted the photo (shown above) on Instagram saying: “Times are hard out here LMAO #EFFENVODKA #FRIGO #SMSAUDIO.”

Meanwhile, in other 50 Cent news, Blacktree’s Jamaal Finkley sat down with Curtis Jackson to talk everything from Bill Cosby, to how he compares himself to other rapper/actors and what Southpaw has in common with Rocky in the video below:
