Dionne Warwick Says Bobbi Kristina, ‘In Much Better Hands Now’

*Just hours after the passing of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown’s 22-year-old daughter, Dionne Warwick paid tribute to Bobbi Kristina during Sunday’s episode of “Watch What Happens Live!”

“She’s a sweetheart. She will be missed, that’s for sure. She was a good girl,” Warwick told host Andy Cohen when he respectfully asked the singer what she wanted the world to know about Krissy.

Warwick had been previously scheduled to appear on the show, and Cohen praised her professionalism for not cancelling the appearance despite having learned that Bobbi Kristina had died earlier in the day. When asked how a family recovers from such a loss, Warwick told Cohen:

“It’s not easy, that’s for sure. I think it’s because of our faith and strength in faith, knowing that Bobbi is now with a much, much bigger and more powerful person — or thing, according to who or how you believe — than we’ll ever know,” the “I Say a Little Prayer” singer continued. “She’s in much better hands now.”

Warwick was very close to her cousin, Whitney, who died of a drug overdose in 2012 while sitting in a bathtub at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

Bobbi Kristina died Sunday at Peachtree Christian Hospice in Duluth, Georgia, where she had been living out her remaining days since late June when her family had her transferred from an Atlanta area hospital. She passed away following months of medical treatment after she was found face down and unresponsive in a bathtub of water at her Roswell, Georgia, home on Jan. 31.

“She is finally at peace in the arms of God,” the Houston family said in statement Sunday. “We want to again thank everyone for their tremendous amount of love and support during these last few months.”

Our thoughts and prayers continue to go out to the family.
