*OK, how ’bout some gossip from Bossip?!
According to the site, “Empire” stars Terrence Howard and Bryshere Gray reportedly came to blows on set recently when Gray lost his cool during a scene and attacked Howard. Gray, who goes by the nickname Yazz, is apparently bipolar and many on set believe this triggered his outburst.
“Yazz (Gray) did a scene with Terrence Howard where he was supposed to hit him with a plastic bottle, but he hit him with a real bottle… and cut him for real!” the source tells BOSSIP. “Terrence hauled off and punched him in the face. You know Terrence is crazy and something was bound to pop off with this show.”
The source went on to discuss Gray’s bipolar disorder, saying:
“Yazz is bipolar, but he won’t take his meds,” the source tells BOSSIP. “Terrence felt he did it on purpose, but everybody else is blaming it on the bipolar disorder.”
Meanwhile, Ludacris has announced that he’ll be reuniting with his “Hustle & Flow” co-stars, Howard and Taraji P. Henson, on season 2 of “Empire.” Luda posted the photo below on Instagram along with the caption, “This could get interesting…”
The photo shows him dressed in correctional officer uniform, posing next to Terrence who’s wearing an orange jumpsuit, the result of Lucious Lyon’s arrest at the end of Season 1.
According to Access Hollywood, Luda’s character is a “hard-working correctional officer and veteran of the Federal Bureau of Prisons who believes that celebrity inmates should be treated no differently than regular criminals—especially Lucious Lyon.”
Ludacris joins “Empire” newcomers: Marisa Tomei, Chris Rock, Kelly Rowland, Alicia Keys, Adam Rodriguez, Tyrese and Lenny Kravitz.
“Empire” season 2 premieres Sept. 23 on FOX.
