Faizon Love Still Stands By Bill Cosby, Despite 2005 Deposition Confession

faizon-love-bill-cosby*When it comes to Bill Cosby, the court of public opinion will not sway Faizon Love, nor the TV icon’s own confession.

As he did when sexual assault allegations against Cosby first surfaced, Love continued to stand by the embattled comedian as he gave critics a piece of his mind. In Love’s eyes, folks should be more concerned about Dylann Roof killing nine people in a black church in Charleston, SC than Cosby and his legal situation.

“WHY YALL WORRIED ABOUT THAT BULLS— BUT NOT WORRIED ABOUT WHATS GOING ON NOW,” Love tweeted. “You people kill me with this s—! This withe [sic] boy walks into a church and kills 9 people you not mad at that, but this upsets you F— YALL.”

Although a fellow Twitter user tried to point out that it was possible for black people to be upset about various issues at the same time, Love stuck to his guns.

“@MissPCutie BLACK WOMEN AND BLACK CHILDREN BEEN RAPED FOR YEARS BUT THIS IS WHAT YOU CHOOSE TO F—ING TAKE TO HEART????? SLAVES,” Love responded. “YOU MONKEY N—– LOVE YOUR MASTER AND REPEAT EVERYTHING OUT HIS MOUTH….SO PLEASE KEEP IT UP!!!! #NEWSLAVES.” Love’s comments are the latest issued by the entertainer, who has vigorously defended Cosby from those he feels are blasting the TV icon over multiple allegations of sexual assault and drugging. On Monday (July 6), a 2005 deposition was revealed that highlighted Cosby’s admission under oath that he acquired Quaaludes and Benadryl to drug women he wanted to have sex with. For Love, the war against Cosby’s critics continues as he posted the following declaration of support for Cosby on his Instagram account, with the caption “f*ck them lying bi*ches,” an obvious reference to the women who have accused Cosby of raping and drugging them:

Love isn’t the first celebrity to publicly support Cosby. Jill Scott as well as Cosby’s TV wife Phylicia Rashad have voiced their opinions about the situation while maintaining Cosby’s innocence. As seen in the following Twitter exchange,  Scott was quick to put anyone in check that wasn’t on Team Cosby. With Scott, the argument was rooted in her belief that a conspiracy was happening to destroy Cosby, his legacy and black America:

Unlike Love and Rashad, Scott ended up changing her stance on Cosby’s situation. On Monday, the songstress took to Twitter to admit that she was wrong about Cosby in light of his testimony, she labled as “proof.”

Despite her change of heart, Scott was still in the line of fire from crtics who took her to task for calling the stories of Cosby’s accusers as “hearsay.” As a result, Scott’s critics wondered if she was only going to believe women who have been raped if their accuser openly admitted to the act.

From there, Scott went into defense mode as she countered her critics with real talk of her own.
