*“Parenthood” alum Joy Bryant and Chris Diamantopoulos of HBO’s “Silicon Valley” have been cast opposite Anna Camp and Genevieve Angels in the Sony/Amazon Studios pilot “Good Girls Revolt,” reports Deadline.com.
The project is set in 1969 at the beginning of the women’s rights movement when a group of young women at the hottest magazine in the world ask to be treated fairly, setting off a convulsive chain of events.
Bryant will play real life civil rights activist Eleanor Holmes Norton.
The pilot will begin shooting in New York City next month.
Bryant was a regular for all five seasons of NBC’s “Parenthood” and starred in ABC’s pilot “The Advocate.”
