NUVOtv Announces Season 2 Premiere of Knockout

Season 2 of “Knockout” premiered on July 8, 2015

*Glendale, Calif.,  – NUVOtv, the leading English-language destination for Latino entertainment, premiered season two of its original weekly boxing docu-series, “Knockout,” this past Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at 10:00pm ET/PT.

Legendary fighters Floyd Mayweather Sr., “Sugar” Shane Mosley and John “Iceman” Scully are set to appear on season two. In addition, Roy Jones Jr. will serve as host of the series in which nine fighters vie for a chance to fight in the finals and a chance to become top WBA contenders.

“Knockout” is an intense, action-packed boxing competition focusing on world class trainers Mayweather Sr., Mosley and Scully and their selected pro fighters.

The series follows these boxers as they endure rigorous training regimens and prepare to go head-to-head in the ring. One by one, fighters will be eliminated, until a winner emerges in each of the three respective weight classes: Featherweight, Lightweight, and Cruiserweight.

Viewers will get an all-access look at not only the trainers, but also the fighters and what inspires them to compete.  “Knockout is produced by Steve Marcano Holdings and directed by award winning film and TV director Benny Boom.

Floyd Mayweather Sr. is a boxing trainer and was a welterweight contender during the 1970s and 1980s. He is the father and trainer of five-division boxing champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. He has also trained champion Oscar De La Hoya.

“Sugar” Shane Mosley has held boxing titles in three different divisions: IBF Lightweight Title, Lineal, WBC & WBA super welterweight titles and lineal, WBC, WBA and the ring light-middleweight titles.

In 2000 and 2001 he was the Ring Magazine’s pound for pound best fighter in the world.

John “Iceman” Scully is a former world-ranked professional light heavyweight. Scully is now a boxing trainer and has led four boxers, Liz Mueller, Jose Antonio Rivera, Mike Oliver & Chad Dawson, to world championships.

Roy Jones Jr. is a boxer, rapper and actor known as “Captain Hook.” He has captured numerous world titles in the middleweight, super middleweight, light heavyweight and heavyweight divisions and is the best pound for pound fighter ever.
