Obama on Bill Cosby: If You Drug A Woman to Have Sex Without Consent, ‘That’s Rape’ (Watch)

Obama Talks Cosby

*President Obama just spoke publicly for the first time about the multitude of sexual abuse allegations against Bill Cosby.

During a press conference that largely focused on the president’s recent nuclear arms deal with Iran, White House correspondent April Ryan asked about the probability of revoking Cosby’s Medal of Freedom in light of his admission in a 2005 deposition that he procured Quaaludes to give to women with whom he wanted to have sex.

“There’s no precedent for revoking a Medal, we don’t have that mechanism,” Obama began. He then reiterated his policy not to comment on cases where there might still be criminal or civil issues involved.

“But I’ll say this,” he added. “If you give a woman, or a man for that matter, without his or her knowledge a drug, and then have sex with that person without consent, that’s rape. I think this country, any civilized country, should have no tolerance for rape.”
