Sherri Shepherd Settles Custody Battle with Lamar Sally

Sherri Shepherd’s battle with her ex-husband Lamar Sally has officially come to an end.

TMZ reports the former “The View” co-host reached an agreement in the case and is responsible for paying Sally $4,100 a month in child support. Once their son becomes a teenager, the amount increases to $4,600 a month. Despite the settlement, there is a stipulation that says Shepherd can continue on with her fraud allegations. If the court rules in her favor, then she will no longer be held responsible for the child support.

The settlement marks a twist for Shepherd, who had been passionate about avoiding paying any type of child support for the child, which she wanted nothing to do with. Although a judge ruled in April that Shepherd is the child’s legal mother, the entertainer initially kept her name off the birth certificate

As for the fraud allegations, TMZ noted that those stem from claims Shepherd made that involved Sally pushing her into having a child solely via surrogacy, only to eventually divorce her and seek child support.

“While the battle regarding the fraud allegations continue, Sherri Shepherd’s custody settlement agreement goes into place now,” according to the Inquisitor. “At this point, there doesn’t seem to be any word regarding what comes next regarding her fraud claims, though it seems that is working its way through the appeals court.”
