#BlackLivesMatter Critic Peggy Hubbard Tells Activists to ‘Bite Me’

Peggy Hubbard

*No doubt CNN host Don Lemon gleamed with satisfaction as he mentally co-signed every word spoken by guest Peggy Hubbard, the woman who posted a #BlackLivesMatter video rant that went viral last week. She appeared on CNN to respond to critics who don’t share her belief that the movement has misplaced priorities.

Peggy’s point of frustration is the lack of public outcry over the death of 9-year-old Jamyla Bolden, in Ferguson, Missouri, who died from a stray bullet while she was doing her homework. From her point of view, no one seemed to care when news broke about the child’s death, instead, and at the same time, protesters got violent after a wanted criminal reportedly pointed a gun at cops who shot him dead.

“You shoot at them and they’re going to shoot at you. If you try to kill them, their job is serve and protect, not serve and die,” said Hubbard in her viral video.

Hubbard told Lemon that police officers are worried either about being killed or being “the next Darren Wilson.” When Lemon read some of the nasty responses she’s received for being outspoken, Peggy told her critics to “Bite me.”

As we previously reported, Hubbard, a former IRS worker, made a video asking why the Black Lives Matter movement glorifies teen thugs and not bring more awareness to young, innocent victims of Black on Black violence like Jamyla.

“You say black lives matter? Her life mattered. Her dreams mattered. Her future mattered. Her promises mattered,” said Hubbard.

While the Black Lives Matter movement continues to cherry-pick over the daily carnage in the urban communities that’s worthy taking to the streets for, it’s curious to note how the movement didn’t protest the death of 7-year-old Amari Brown, for example, who was one of the ten that were killed among 55 that were shot over the 4th of July weekend in Chicago this year. The movement also ignored the death of 15-year-old Demario Bailey who was killed by thugs who wanted his Bulls jacket.

The movement continues to leave many asking “Do Black lives really matter? Or does it matter only if a Black man is shot by a White person or White policeman?”
