*Venus Williams dropped out of the Western & Southern Open tournament in Cincinnati after coming down with a virus. Serena’s elder sister withdrew from her Tuesday evening match against sixth-seeded Ana Ivanovic. Since losing to Serena at Wimbledon, she has made first-round exits at Istanbul and Toronto and had to withdraw from Cincinnati after one match.

*Lamar Davenport, the boyfriend of Morgan Freeman’s granddaughter Edena Hines, was arraigned in New York Wednesday in her killing. A prosecutor said he
was found standing over her lifeless body with a knife still sticking out of her chest when police officers arrested him on a Manhattan street. Davenport did not enter a plea as he appeared on a video monitor from a hospital. The 33-year-old actress was found Sunday in front of her apartment building, stabbed 15 times in the heart, lungs and liver, said Assistant District Attorney Nicholas Penfold.

*Dennis Haysbert joins Syfy’s drama pilot “Incorporated,” from executive producers Matt Damon and Ben Affleck. The espionage thriller tells the story of executive Ben Larson (Sean Teale), who must change his identity in order to infiltrate a cutthroat corporate world to save the woman he loves. In the process, he takes on the entire system — with deadly consequences. Haysbert co-stars as Julian, the head of security and probably the most feared person at SPIGA, the all-powerful company at the center of “Incorporated.” Part detective and part grand inquisitor, Julian is a tenacious investigator with an uncanny ability to sniff out moles and traitors in the company. *Disney has recruited Dwayne Johnson to star in “Jungle Cruise,” a film based on the theme park’s popular safari ride. “Crazy Stupid Love” helmers John Requa and Glenn Ficarra will write script. Tom Hanks and Tim Allen were each attached to star at some point. Plot details are unknown at this time, other than the fact that it will be a period piece. Read more at Variety.

*Rita Ora and Wiz Khalifa were spotted holding hands under the table during a dinner date in Beverly Hills, according to People.com. After posing for pics backstage at the Teen Choice Awards, the rumored new couple hit up STK LA and shared a chicken plate while sipping on gin cocktails. Ora, 24, and Khalifa, 27, “held hands under the table and were very flirty,” says an onlooker. “It definitely seemed like a date.” Early Tuesday, they showed up together at The Nice Guy in West Hollywood for dinner…and TMZ cameras were there:
