*Ah yes – the ol’ “I lost my ring” confession is usually followed by a divorce announcement, and while Halle Berry may be pretending that she remains blissfully in love with her faithful husband, rumors continue to swirl that their marriage is on the rocks due to infidelity issues on both sides.

Now with Halle’s revelation that she lost her wedding band, stay tuned for what tricks she may pull out of the martial bag of woes in the forthcoming weeks, as we’re not buying that all is well in the Berry-Martinez household.

TMZ is reporting that the Oscar-winning actress is denying rumors that her marriage to French actor Olivier Martinez is on the rocks. She claims her missing ring is not a sign of marital problems. Halle says she lost her wedding ring in January, and she and Martinez simply never replaced it because, well – it hasn’t been a priority.

“Our sources say, Halle lost her engagement ring in Mexico a year-and-a-half ago,” TMZ reports. “She was at the Acapulco International Film Festival in January 2014 where she received the Silver Jaguar Award. Halle says the ring either fell off her hand or she left it on a table and someone took it.”

Berry is still wearing her gold wedding band, as she was spotted dining at hotspot Craig’s restaurant on Tuesday night in West Hollywood.

In related news, the actress was recently named curator of the French lingerie brand, Scandale Paris, which will make its Canadian debut in mid-August at La Vie en Rose locations across Canada and online, Toronto Sun reports.

“What I love about the brand is its timeless, sophisticated style and how well it is made,” said Berry in a recent interview with Postmedia. “When I first tried on one of the bras from the collection, it made me feel sexy. And that’s what I think of when I think of the Parisian woman, the Scandale woman – confident, feminine and beautiful.”

Scandale Paris was founded in 1932, Berry now co-owns the brand and serves as creative director. She first launched the collection in the U.S. last fall. The collection has five basic bra styles from push-up to bandeau.

“Wearing lingerie that is both feminine and comfortable makes me feel incredibly sexy and confident,” Halle said, adding “I believe that what you put under your clothes is the first step to making yourself feel good about yourself and truly feeling sexy.”
