*Turns out Grace Jones’ high top fade was the inspiration behind Jennifer Hudson’s dramatic hair cut, which she debuted via Instagram on Aug. 14.
In the new issue of Vogue, Hudson, 33, also said she wanted a new look for her move to NYC to star in Broadway’s The Color Purple.
Hudson said she shaved her locks herself…as a way to stay centered. And the best part about her new look, she says, is the fact that it requires minimal upkeep.
To style the close crop, J-Hud said she uses a small drop of Pro Style gel, Organic Root Stimulator Olive Oil Mousse, and hair-wrapping paper.
