*(LOS ANGELES, CA) – Get ready for a dynamic, eclectic, soaring, church-bred brand of old-school soul music! Joshua Ledet fell in love with singing Soul, Gospel, and R&B through growing up and being a part of his church’s choir.
As a 3rd place finalist on the 11th season of “American Idol,” he has garnered the most standing ovations from the judges than any contestant in American Idol history.
Now, Ledet is set to release on September 18th his first single and music video “Love Can Do,” produced by Grammy nominated Producer Bernie Herms who has produced for artist such as Brad Paisley, Josh Groban, CeCe Winans, and Casting Crowns.
Joshua Ledet is working with legendary writers and producers like Grammy Award Winning songwriter Diane Warren and producer Gorden Campbell. Ledet’s upcoming single “City Fall” was produced by Gorden Campbell and co-written by Ledet himself.
Following his success on American Idol, Ledet began performing across the country and as well as performing “When a Man Loves a Woman” at the White House in front of President Barack Obama for the “Memphis Soul” event.
In 2013, Josh released an original, self-written song “Here to Die” on Youtube and gained praise from Rolling Stone where they commented, “This song needs to get a commercial release. And when it does, I’ll give whatever label that puts it out a standing ovation.” On March 2015, Ledet performed “Love Can Do” live for the first time on local TV in Indonesia and performed in concert for over 10,000 people. Ledet will be performing at the Allstate Tom Joyner Family Reunion in Orlando, Florida this Labor Day weekend, September 3rd- 5th.
