*Marcus Bradley had been driving a Lowe’s delivery truck for the past 11-years.
So when he got a call by management while making a routine delivery last week, asking him to return to the warehouse with the shipment, he asked why.
The reason, according to the manager, was because the white customer did not want a black person delivering anything to their home.
When Bradley returned to the store, he was replaced by a white driver.
Ignorance is far and wide, and though we witness it every day in the behavior of different individuals in the form of racial intolerance; it still comes as a surprise when its taken on by a business. Because so much more is involved: money for one, customers for another, and then there is a little thing called reputation.
