*Here’s more info/proof that Sheree Whitfield is returning to the “Real Housewives of Atlanta,” filling the void that popular Housewife NeNe Leakes left when she made her official exit back in June.
According to TMZ, Whitfield has finalized her contract with the network to return and was spotted filming an episode on August. 7.
Leakes brought Sheree on the series back when she was seeking friends to join her on the pilot episode. A few seasons in however, and the ladies were bitter enemies, MadameNoire reports.
“I wouldn’t call Sheree a friend, ever,” NeNe told Andy Cohen during an interview following the show’s sixth season. “Sheree, out of all of the girls, is the very one person I will never have anything else to do with. I think Sheree is very evil, I think she’s very mean, and she is a true bitch, and that’s not cute,” NeNe said.
Sheree left the show in 2012, claiming she quit because she was ‘tired of the fighting and cattiness.’ Whitfield joins dramatic divas Marlo Hampton and Porsha Williams who are also set to make a few appearances on the upcoming season.
While Leakes and Claudia Jordan have confirmed they won’t be returning for season eight, Cynthia, Kandi Burruss, Phaedra Parks and Kenya Moore will return to stir up the drama. No doubt that Burruss’ recent announcement that she’s pregnant with her second child will help boost ratings. She may even get a spin-off show centered around the baby and her suspect relationship with Real Housewives co-star and husband, Todd Tucker.
According to ET, there’s no word yet on if Kim Fields is officially joining the show, despite the rumors currently going around that she’ll be a part of the cast.
