*For its second season, Starz original series “Survivor’s Remorse” will expand its storylines beyond just the adjustment of NBA rookie Cam Calloway and his family to sudden fame and fortune.

Beginning with episode 2, the show will explore the issue of domestic violence in professional sports. In this instance, however, it’s a woman who punches a man. And like the Ray Rice incident, security camera footage of the assault is leaked to the public.

“I think what happens to a lot of professional athletes and the family around them, is that their behavior, they’re just going through their lives and don’t realize now that they are out front and center for an issue like this,” executive producer Mike O’Malley told the TCA at its press tour in Beverly Hills earlier this month. “

“I think that the characters, because of what happens to them in this episode, they have to pay for their sins, and, you can’t really explain it away. Grown men and women can’t lay hands on one another. They just can’t do it. There is just no excuse. They just can’t do it, and that’s what the episode is about.”

As previously reported, actress Teyonah Parris is sporting her natural hair after an emotional transition – and her character Missy will do the same, beginning in the season premiere.

Parris explains, below:

“Survivor’s Remorse” Season 2 premieres Saturday at 9:30 p.m. on Starz.
