Wiz Khalifa Gets Manhandled by Cops Over Alleged Hoverboard Incident

wiz-khalifa*Wiz Khalifa’s refusal to get off his hoverboard allegedly resulted in him getting handcuffed at LAX airport in Los Angeles on Saturday (Aug. 22).

Footage of Khalifa’s encounter with Customs and Border Patrol officers was captured by the rapper himself in a video he posted, Rolling Stone reports.

“Haven’t been slammed and cuffed in a while. That was fun,” the rhymesayer tweeted.

“All because I didn’t want to ditch the technogy everyone will be using in the next 6 months. Do what you want kids.” pic.twitter.com/7F0KIQgFrA — Cameron (@wizkhalifa) August 23, 2015

After the incident, Khalifa continued airing his thoughts on what happened, tweeting:  “All because I didn’t want to ditch the [technology] everyone will be using in the next 6 months. Do what you want kids.

“What’s even funnier than [the cops] not bein able to do sh*t is they’ll be riding them soon as well,” he wrote. “Maybe ones I design. I stand for our generation and our generation is gonna be riding hover boards so if you don’t like it eat a d—!”

Adding to the social media commentary are two short videos Khalifa posted moments before he was detained by the officers. The first video shows Khalifa telling police “they can’t do nothing” about him riding his hoverboard.

The second video finds Khalifa on the ground while being surrounded by three cops who tell him to “get on the ground” and stop resisting. As he’s being handcuffed, Khalifa informs the officers that, “I’m not resisting.”

Rolling Stone notes that Khalifa’s situation with the Customs and Border Patrol officers marks the latest incident involving the entertainer and airport law enforcement.

After getting arrested for marijuana at an El Paso, Texas airport in May 2014, Khalifa took a selfie from jail. The arrest resulted in fans waiting a little longer for the arrival of Khalifa’s mixtape “28 Grams”
