13-Yr-Old Faces 2nd-Degree Assault Charge for Kissing 14-Year-Old on a Dare (Watch)

*Uh…does this seem a bit extreme to you? I mean, is it right up there with handcuffing a grade-school kid for misbehaving in class?

What ever happened to Johnny getting time-out in the corner of the class room… Or Betty being told to write “I will not fight” fifty times on the board after school?

Talk about days long gone. Today, a middle school kid is more likely to get a much harsher punishment.

A 13-year-old boy who is said to have responded to a dare and ran up to a girl a year older than him, and planted a kiss on her lips, was charged with second degree assault this week, according to Fox 10 TV in Maryland.

The incident happened at the teens’ school, but some folks are saying, wait a minute, a criminal charge was too severe a punishment for the unwanted kiss.
