Deborah Cox Joins Off-Broadway Play about Transgender Identity

*Deborah Cox and Kathleen Turner will star in an off-Broadway play about transgender identity, 22Q Entertainment announced Thursday.

Both women have signed on to John S. Anastasi’s “Would You Still Love Me…” Turner plays the mother of a woman considering gender reassignment surgery and Cox plays a doctor.

Nona Gerard will direct the play at New World Stages. Previews begin Sept. 26.

Cox has been on Broadway in “Jekyll & Hyde” and “Aida.”
