*Gone are the days when celebs used their PR reps and lawyers to issue statements about their personal lives. Now they take to Twitter and Harvey Levin’s TMZ to set straight all their drama that becomes trending topics and hashtags.
In the latest of the ongoing divorce battle between Master P and his estranged wife Sonya Miller, the rapper responded to TMZ about Sonya’s claims that he had locked her out of their home (where she still lives with four of the couple’s seven children), and cut her off financially.
Master P says that he’d happily offer a fair divorce settlement and let Sonya back into the house, on one condition: she dumps her boyfriend. He claims the reason he kicked her out in the first place is because she lets her boytoy live in the home, where they party constantly and she often neglects their children.
The No Limit mogul even hinted that things might have taken a turn for the worse if he had caught his ex’s beau in their L.A. home.
“If I had caught her boyfriend in the house, what you think I was gonna do. Tell him ‘Hello?’ This would be a whole different story on TMZ. I changed my life, I’m trying to do better,” he said.
Master P refutes Sonya’s claims that she made No Limit and deserves half his fortune because of it:
“You know what? If you that much of a business woman, you should have something going on right now,” he said.
However, he does still care for the mother of his children, as he reiterated that he’d be happy to provide for Sonya — including paying for rehab — if she would “do the right thing” and focus on their kids.
“I wish her the best, I’m not trying to bash her or nothing but it’s wrong what she’s doing,” said P. ”I don’t need to buy a car or none of that type of stuff but I”ll definitely spend money to send her to rehab if I need to.”
Master P and Sonya were together for 18 years before they separated in 2007. Sonja filed for divorce in 2013 but it has yet to be finalized.
