The audience encompassed a diverse group of influential women of color within the entertainment and creative arts industries. The panel event also included music from DJ Sparks, and catering from Orleans & York Deli, of Inglewood, CA.
The panelists shared their uninhibited opinions, refreshing perspectives, and valuable knowledge on what it takes to be a black actress.
They shared their moments of surprise, sorrow, and success, and galvanized the audience towards unity and solidarity. Held on the same day as the latest Million Man March on Washington, DC, the event was a celebration of the strides that black women have made in the entertainment industry, but also the challenges that they still face.
