House Select Committee on Benghazi Chairman Trey Gowdy (R-SC) (L) and ranking member Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-MD) argue during a hearing where Democratic presidential candidate and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton testifies October 22, 2015 on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC.

*A shouting match broke out between Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.) and Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-Md.), the chairman and ranking Democrat of the House Select Committee on Benghazi respectively, just before Thursday’s hearing broke for lunch.

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was brought before the committee Thursday to testify about the 2012 attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya, that left four Americans dead. Just as the proceedings were about to break for lunch, Cummings and Gowdy got into it over emails she received from confidant Sidney Blumenthal.

Cummings accused Gowdy of making contradictory statements, and forcefully demanded transcripts from Blumenthal’s deposition — which Gowdy attended — be released.

“You said from the beginning we want the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth,” Cummings said. “Why don’t we just put the entire transcript out there and let the world see it? What do you have to hide?”
