*The casting of a couple of black actors in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” has caused Twitter to explode with comments from racist trolls accusing the upcoming film of promoting “white genocide.”

The haters made #BoycottStarWarsVII a trending hashtag on Monday, shortly after a new poster for the flick was released – which features Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher and one of the few people of color in the film, black male actor, John Boyega.

His presence on the poster has caused many to conclude that director JJ Abrams is pushing an anti-white agenda…. despite the film being historically prominently white.

Hey, no one ever said racists were the sharpest, so let’s give them credit for always living up to their reputation of being low-level thinkers.

As Vox reports, “The Force Awakens” features multiple people of color, something Twitter users @DarklyEnlighten (“Lord Humungus”) and @genophilia (“End Cultural Marxism”) view as pro-black propaganda perpetuated by Abrams, “a white-hating Hollywood Jew.” These two users are responsible for starting the racist #BoycottStarWarsVII movement, and encouraging other racist fans of the “Star Wars” universe to help spread the hate.

It didn’t take long for the hashtag to gain momentum, with new tweets pouring in by the hundreds every few minutes. While some of the tweets responding to the hashtag support its original intent, Vox reports that the vast majority of respondents were expressing disbelief and mockery at the movement and its supporters. Either way, everyone spreading the hashtag — pro or anti — is giving those who started it exactly what they want.

Of course, people of color are hardly new to the franchise. Boba Fett and the Storm Troopers were apparently played by Maori actors, and major characters Lando Calrissian and Mace Windu were played by black actors. All “Star Wars” fans know that James Earl Jones had the most recognizable role of all, as the voice of Darth Vader.

“There’s some kind of sick, beautiful irony in the fact that those boycotters completely missed the point of all of these films,” Mary Sue writer Jessica Lachenal notes. “They somehow don’t see that they’re the Empire, they’re the evil people; a clone army stamping out those that are different from them, enslaving alien populations, promoting ‘order’ and homogeny through totalitarian control and fear.”

Meanwhile, Boyega, who plays new hero Finn, shared his excitement for the new trailer in a video posted to on Instagram, which shows  diving over the back of his sofa – amazed by the visuals. Peep the trailer below.

“Star Wars: The Force Awakens” opens in US cinemas on December 18.
